At ECS LLC, we use the best insulation materials to ensure the comfort, health, safety, durability, and value of your home. Nu-Wool premium cellulose insulation is an energy-saving insulation made from recycled paper. With its superior thermal and air infiltration properties, cellulose insulation is a far better insulation material than Fiberglass, which has no air sealing properties.

recycled paper insulation

Cellulose insulation became commonly used inside homes in the 1970s. Cellulose insulation is made from 100% recycled paper, newspapers and phone books. Nu-Wool Cellulose insulation is enviroment friendly, and provides savings of up to 40% on energy bills when compared to fiberglass insulation.

Why Use Cellulose Insulation?

Cellulose works well in attics, basements, and walls (unlike fiberglass, which only works well in walls). Combined with air sealing, cellulose insulation prevents the escape of heated or cooled indoor air. With an R-value of 3.8 per inch, Nu-Wool cellulose insulation will ensure that your home will be comfortable for years to come.

Where Is Cellulose Insulation Used?

Cellulose insulation is extremely effective in attics, where it can be blown in up to 18" (R-60). Energy savings are not as significant beyond 18" of blown in cellulose insulation. Cellulose insulation can also be blown in to wall cavities, and installed under floors with netting or cellulose batts.
